About the role:
Sr Data Security Engineer
This position is responsible for assisting with the implementation, continuous improvement, and day-to-day management of JLL’s globally deployed data security technology suite. In this role, you’ll work closely with endpoint security engineering, cyber defense, and insider risk operations to ensure that our data security tools are optimally deployed to address risks tied to both external cyber and insider threats.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Sr Data Security Engineer is responsible for assisting with the implementation, integration, daily operations/management of a new CASB/SASE technology
Oversee the creation of high fidelity DLP policies across all data security technologies
Serve as a point of contact with the vendor and internal resources to implement/integrate CASB/SASE solution based on business requirements
Serve as second tier support for all data security tooling issues
Integrate CASB/SASE solution with other enterprise EDR/data security/data privacy/logging tools
Develop and maintain CASB/SASE documentation
Conduct daily operation and management of the CASB/SASE solution, including event monitoring, reporting, and remediation
Provide technical briefings to security leadership and other technical resources on the CASB/SASE solution
Work to support operational teams using the CASB/SASE platform with ongoing knowledge transfer and policy tuning
Requirements:
3+ years of experience with CASB/SASE solutions (Netskope) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions
Knowledge and experience working with most modules within the Netskope suite
Knowledge and experience with regulatory structures (GDPR, PCI, PII, etc.) impacting traffic visibility and data residency
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with a strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions when required
Experience gathering business and system requirements within a larger project team
Ability to gather requirements and build success criteria for selecting new data security vendors/tooling
Experience leading deployments of security technologies in a net new/migrating environment
Ability to effectively report on the state of technology deployments, roadmap progress, and capability gaps in both detailed and summary formats
Work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with partners in other engineering organizations
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment
Preferred Skills:
Experience in automating tasks via a programming or scripting language (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and working with APIs
Experience working in AWS, Azure, and GCP
Experience working with data discovery/classification/labeling tools
Experience working in Agile environments
Familiarity with logging technologies
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree preferred (but not required)
CISSP/CISM/Netskope certifications preferred (but not required)
