Job duties

  • Assist our team in migrating from an on premise data environment to a cloud environment including UAT testing, ETL activities, data validation, and mapping.

  • Perform data management analysis, including retrieving data from multiple sources, profiling, transforming, validating, and migrating data to centralized data platforms

  • Validate and clean input data, ensure assumptions are correct, manage outliers appropriately, raise issues with stakeholders, and help find the root cause of those issues

  • Create action plans to resolve data-related issues and drive quality improvement to our data ecosystem over time, including the data itself, the analytical data warehouse and the tools used to analyze and interpret results and trends

  • Implement best practices for knowledge transfer and documentation to achieve internal consistency and long-term scalability

  • Devise and promote creative data visualizations, reports, tools, and dashboards to derive actionable real-time insights from business data pertinent to the audience

  • Validate and clean input data, ensure assumptions are correct, manage outliers appropriately, raise issues with stakeholders, and help find the root cause of those issues

  • Proactively identify opportunities to optimize the performance and efficiency of existing processes/procedures

  • Take ownership of projects end-to-end, from initial requirements and data gathering to user testing and deployment – become your stakeholders’ trusted advisor

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree, or evidence of expert skill in BI, data science, computer science, econometrics, operations research, statistics, Information Management, or related analytical field

  • Experience that demonstrates ability in being the SME/Analytics leader in migrating from an on premise tech stack to a cloud environment

  • 5+ years of BI, business, or data analyst experience, ideally in an enterprise environment across multiple application systems and business functions

  • 5+ years of SQL experience – experience developing complex queries

  • 2+ years utilizing a modern/cloud technology stack (Databricks preferred)

  • 2+ years of working experience in a BI visualization tool (Tableau preferred) and in an ETL tool (Alteryx preferred)

  • Ability to lead BI project delivery through the development lifecycle: including requirements analysis, managing project stakeholders, and managing development through to production, training, go-live and phasing in of support & maintenance structures

  • Ability to successfully maintain working relationships with account team stakeholders with minimal oversight, in a manner that ensures BI projects are prioritized and executed based upon business impact and level of effort for each deliverable

  • Excellent presentation skills (verbal and written); strong understanding of analytic/statistical concepts with the ability to comfortably explain them while leading meetings with business stakeholders of all levels

  • Reliable, self-motivated, and self-disciplined individual capable of planning and executing multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced remote environment

Preferred

  • Having a broad understanding of the Corporate Real Estate business

  • Ability to manage and oversee work for a team of analysts

  • Development experience in SharePoint Power Applications and SSRS (Report Builder)

  • Business analysis, consulting/advisory and/or project or client management experience

  • Working experience in analytical toolkit (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R, DataBricks or Python)

  • Certification in BI software tools and/or an impressive public portfolio of BI-related content

  • Experience with Agile methodologies

Estimated compensation for this position is:

100,000.00 – 115,500.00 USD per year

The pay range listed is a total compensation range including bonus, if applicable. The provided range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data.
