Job Summary:

As a Lead Solution Architect at JLL, you will play a crucial role in shaping the architectural vision and strategy for the Smart Building Platform using IoT. You will lead the design of complex architectural solutions that support JLL's business objectives, driving innovation and operational excellence. This position requires a blend of architectural/ technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership with a track record of designing cutting-edge IoT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• IoT Solution Design and Architecture: Lead the development and implementation of IoT solutions, including device management, data collection, processing, IoT protocol, building management system(BMS) and data analysis, ensuring they meet platform requirements and integrate seamlessly with other platforms.

• Architectural Leadership: Ability to define and drive the architectural vision and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards.

• Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of cloud computing (AWS), enterprise application architecture, data architecture, and integration patterns.

• DevOps and CI/CD: Understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes) for automating software development and deployment processes.

• Security and Compliance: Knowledge of security best practices, protocols, and frameworks to ensure the design and implementation of secure solutions.

• Governance and Standards: Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and quality in solution development.

• Technology Innovation: Identify and integrate emerging technologies(e.g. Gen AI) and architectural patterns to enhance business value and competitive advantage.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively engage and collaborate with business leaders, IT teams, and external partners.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

• At least 10 years of experience in software architecture, with a proven track record in designing and implementing large-scale, complex IoT solutions.

• Deep understanding of IoT protocols and standards (e.g., MQTT, LoRaWAN, BACnet), as well as experience with IoT cloud services platforms (e.g., AWS IoT PaaS)

• Strong expertise in cloud architectures - AWS and understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS models and IaC best practices.

• Deep knowledge of enterprise application architectures, data architectures, and integration patterns.

• Experience with architecting using container orchestration and management platforms (Kubernetes, Docker)

• Experience guiding teams to implement infrastructure-as-code and application monitoring tools(DataDog, Splunk), high availability, and disaster recovery

• Experienced with distributed, event-based messaging architectures (Kafka, SQS, etc.)

• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD practices.

• Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse stakeholder groups.
