We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to transform data into value for our customers. In this role, you will help building out our reporting and analytics platform with data from our business-oriented web apps. You will be responsible for data modelling, data mapping, data analysis, creating dashboards and providing ideas for our platform in the commercial real estate and property management space. Candidate must have a strong background in data analysis, data modelling and report development. Python, JavaScript and AWS experience would be very nice to have.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines to automate the collection, storage, and processing of large volumes of structured data.
  • Integrate data from various sources, ensuring efficient data flow and transformation.
  • Design and implement data models and structures that support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis, considering scalability and performance.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure the accuracy, reliability, and timeliness of data.
  • Establish data quality and validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data across different systems and sources.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations to enable data-driven decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues in production and non-production environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and deliver data-driven solutions. Share knowledge and provide mentorship to junior members of the team.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to streamline data integration and reporting workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulatory requirements.

Experience & Education

  • Undergraduate or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with SQL and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server).
  • Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data manipulation and processing.
  • Knowledge of data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling and schema design.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and experience with data warehouse solutions (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake).
  • Cloud experience with AWS.
  • Proficiency in at least one Business Intelligence tool (Sisense BI, QuickSight, Power BI, QlikView or similar).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to details.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous learning mindset.
