Life House is a hotel and F&B management company built on innovative software and operating systems. Our mission is to make independent hotels, bars & restaurants easy to operate and more profitable - to help these soulful establishments excel. We do this by automating the back-office functions (e.g. accounting & finance) and enabling the on-site teams to be solely focused at delivering on the respective indie experience. We also have our own 4-star hotel brand, Life House, where we develop locally-rooted F&B concepts that not only pay homage to the locale, but inspire a new energy. We operate over 20 restaurants & bars that and over 70 hotels.

The Role

We’re looking for a uniquely well rounded F&B professional who wants to launch cool, lean, & financially optimized lifestyle restaurants and bars around North America. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a diverse collection of independent bars & restaurants from high-end Michelin-rated restaurants to speakeasies to diners. In this role you’ll help with opening new concepts, designing repeatable F&B operations playbooks, supporting transitions of new restaurants and bars under our management, analyzing our bars & restaurants to ensure they’re reaching their potential, and rolling up your sleeves to support the local venues when they need an extra hand, among others. You’ll be part of an F&B team that is ultimately responsible for ensuring that our F&B venues hit their respective budgets and that they’re set-up for success.

What You’ll Do

  • Launching & Transitioning New F&B Outlets to be under Life House Management
    • Interface directly with onsite teams to transition new F&B outlets into our portfolio
    • Introduce and implement the Life House systems and processes to on-site teams
    • Provide training & coaching to onsite teams to set employees up for success post-transition
  • Ongoing Training & Development of Existing Life House Portfolio
    • Continuously work with onsite teams to train and/or upskill our employee population
    • Assist with roll out of new platforms, processes, and trainings
  • Spearhead Corrective Action Plans to Improve Financial & Operational Performance
    • When budgets or operations are not on track (which is hopefully rare), you’ll be responsible for stepping in to quickly diagnose the problem and create a corrective action plan
    • Coach onsite teams through execution while ensuring the plan of action leads to desired outcomes
  • Continuously Develop Expertise in Operational Systems and Processes
    • Build a deep understanding of internal and external operational systems and processes
    • You’ll be a key stakeholder in building our F&B roadmap to improve our value proposition

Our Ideal Candidate

  • Is a well-rounded, industrious, F&B professional, with a passion for F&B & making things run smoothly
  • A Bachelor's degree and at least 1 year of experience in some kind of F&B role
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, expressing ideas clearly and succinctly
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Strong attention to detail and the curiosity to get in the weeds without getting distracted
  • Excited by leveraging new tech solutions to streamline operations
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to lead change in a fast-paced environment
  • Not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and lead by example
  • This is a remote position and travel will be required 75% of the time

Compensation

  • Competitve pay at $80,000 to $110,000 USD
