This position reports to an office in Mountain View, CA
We are looking for an experienced Logistics and fulfillment Specialist with demonstrated success in managing end-to-end logistics for a global footprint organization. This role is based out of our MountainView HQ. Vergesense favors a hybrid work style and we are flexible depending on personal needs.
As a Logistics and fulfillment Specialist at VergeSense you will hold a critical role for keeping VergeSense Fulfillment Operations running smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be accountable for ensuring our shipments arrive at our customer's sites on time and on cost. To achieve this working closely with multiple departments and stakeholders is required, including sales, delivery teams, installers, and vendors across our global supply chain. As our company scales, you’ll also be a key stakeholder in evolving VergeSense’s global fulfillment models. This person will report to the Director of Operations.
What You'll Do:
•Book freight forwarders for inbound goods to our 3PL distribution center
•Use data-driven analysis to optimize cost and lead time
•Help VergeSense manage trade compliance rules & regulations for our global shipments
•Fulfill and coordinate shipments with our 3PL
•Provide domestic and international freight quotes to our sales organization that meet customer delivery windows & cost
•Be accountable for all VergeSense shipments by:
-Maintaining relationships with our logistics partners & freight forwarders
-Create packing lists, shipment instructions, and commercial invoices
-Tracking and resolving issues with shipments as they travel to their destination
-Transact inbound/outbound shipments and internal transfers in NetSuite
-Use NetSuite and the 3PL WHMS to validate shipments match daily transactions
•Be a visible stakeholder & partner to:
-Planning, Procurement & Manufacturing
-Finance & Accounting
What You'll Need:
•Attention to detail, obsessed data & integrity of the system
•Demonstrated experience with NetSuite or similar ERP software
•Bachelor-level business degree or relevant experience
•Experience with UPS CampusShip, UPS Worldship, DHL, etc.
•5+ years of experience in a fulfillment or logistics role
•Be located in the San Francisco Bay Area
•Willing to work 2-3 days on-site in our Mountain View office
